TOffeeAM software development started with applications linked to cooling systems inside gas turbines. Aerospace was the industry first targeted when we developed this code back in 2015.
The following channel is a 3D topology optimisation solution of heat exchanger coolant passages. The solution was obtained for real engines conditions.

Brakes, electronic cooling system, fuel cells, applications for topology optimisation are vast in the automotive industries. In a competitive field such as F1, a few percent gain in the efficiency of the car can make all the difference at the end of the race. For a commercial car, higher efficiency means less fuel consumption. In the case of electric cars, controlling the temperature of the battery can be made more efficient.
An example of application we have worked on is the fuel cell. The optimisation is done for mass and heat exchange.
